Product Description

It is the stem pith of the Araliaceae plant, the Araliaceae. It is harvested in autumn. Select plants that have grown for 2 to 3 years, cut the above-ground stems, cut them into sections, remove the stem pith while it is fresh, straighten it, and dry it in the sun. Place it in a dry place. The square slices made from the stem pith are called square tongcao; the side strips cut during processing are called silk tongcao.

It can purge the lungs, clear away heat and promote urination, and promote the secretion of milk. It can treat painful gonorrhea, edema, oliguria, short and dark urine, jaundice, breast milk obstruction in parturient women, blurred vision, and nasal congestion.
